Who is Cru?

Young People are the pride of our families and the hope of our nation. That’s why Cru New England exists. We care about teenagers!

Cru is committed to helping teenagers and their families navigate the inherent turbulent years of adolescence.

For many students, growing up is tough, especially in a culture filled with sexual pressures, drug abuse, and disintegrating family life. Parents, teachers and youth leaders play a crucial role in helping young people make successful choices.

Since 1966, our staff and volunteers have joined hands with parents, educators, community leaders and churches in cities all across America, helping give every student an opportunity to know Jesus.

The heartbeat of Cru is teenagers. They not only represent the future leaders and parents of our nation and world, but they are a major influence in today’s society. Seldom will a day go by that teenagers are not the focus of national and worldwide news, both for good and bad. We work with students because they represent the most responsive age group to the gospel. Over 80% of those who receive Christ do so by age 18.

Our Plan: Reach the Campus, Reach the World - By serving the campus, we make contact with the greatest number of teenagers in a community. In Student Venture, our service includes: 

Cru Field Teams – Serving in communities to win, build and send students.

The Coaching Center – Coaching adults and students by phone and the Internet to reach remote teenagers.

Cru Media Resources – Using the Internet, video, radio, television, and print media to resource teenagers.
